Matala is getting ready once again to welcome thousands of visitors for a three-day celebration on July 4, 5 & 6, 2025!
For the 12th consecutive year, the Matala Beach Festival—a beloved tradition born from the passion of the people—promises unforgettable moments filled with music, dance, and freedom at the legendary site where the "Flower Children" once lived carefree.
A Legendary Festival in a Legendary Location
The festival is organized by "Matala Municipality of Phaistos Monomember Municipal S.A.," the Municipality of Phaistos, and the Cultural Association of Pitsidia-Matala.
As one of the largest free music festivals in Europe, Matala Beach Festival offers three days of non-stop entertainment, relaxation, and unique experiences, right by the famous caves of Matala Beach.
Three Stages – One Incredible Experience
This year, the festival will feature three unique stages, hosting top Greek and international artists and bands, delivering an unforgettable spectacle beneath the Matala sky:
🎸 The Sunset Stage – With the breathtaking Matala sunset as a backdrop.
🎶 The Cave Stage – A high-energy setting in front of the historic caves.
🕺 The Square Stage – At the heart of Matala, with non-stop beats and a party atmosphere.
